In the past few weeks we have seen the number of people we help with food increase in a dramatic fashion. Normally we would help in the region of 400 households a year with food. In the last three weeks we have helped 251 households with food or if you prefer over just over 650 men, women and children. Because of the generosity of individuals, organisations and the local authorities we have been able to provide not only our normal staples but eggs, meat, fresh vegetables and Easter Eggs. Our normal 3 day parcels are now providing for 4 to 5 days, so we have provided over 8,000 meals to the local community. In a time when things look so bleak it is our privilege to serve our communities and to bring a glimmer of hope.
