It’s been a strange year, one that seems long and yet short. We have all learned to understand what 2m is (even those of us who prefer to measure in old money). We have journeyed with many people this year, some, who like the wise men of the nativity story brought gifts, in our case often food, sometimes money and most recently toys, and others who needed some assistance. In the original story of Jesus’ birth there is no mention of a midwife, but I am sure that someone came to be with Mary during that night. We have seen tears of joy, tears of sadness and tears of overwhelming. Many families and individuals this year have gone through huge changes that have left them feeling hopeless. There have been times, when we at NewStarts have felt overwhelmed by the need and also the generosity of our community. We cannot thank you enough for all that you have done to help us serve you. We cannot thank you enough for your encouragement. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. So as we come to this Christmas we want to wish you a wonderful, peaceful Christmas and a blessed and prosperous New Year.
