#You made it happen

By 11/10/2019News

Maybe its because I am getting older, but each year seems to whizz by quicker than the last. However, the speed of time passing doesn’t seem to reduce the amount of help that we provide, in fact that seems to be increasing both in numbers and range.

Over the past year we replicated our services in Birmingham and have been able to increase our help to the people of the City of Birmingham, whilst at the same time increasing the help we provide across north Worcestershire. We have worked with more volunteers and work placements than ever before, with a third of them being young people under the age of 25.

So for those of you who like facts and figures, here are the numbers:

411 families and individuals helped with free household items, of which 100 were young people under the age of 25

403 emergency food parcels – 144 for families; 265 for individuals

170 tonnes of household items diverted from landfill

42 tonnes of CO2 prevented from landfill

9000 hours of volunteering and work placements

1785 meals for volunteers

89 hours of advocacy

2500 collections

15,000 sales

Whilst we have been busy we acknowledge that without our wonderful community of donors, customers, volunteers and Trustees none of this would happen. So from the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of all those we help thank you. #youmadeithappen.
