Today is Earth Day. Environmental issues are intricately connected to social justice and equity. The transition to a sustainable world must include addressing injustices and designing solutions that benefit all communities. Here at NewStarts we are passionate about social justice issues and the environment and try to help by reusing and refurbishing household items and computers and then either giving those items away or selling them at affordable prices in order to ensure we can continue to give items away free. Most years this amounts to about 190 tonnes, or 127 cars. When you support us either through donations, volunteering or buying you are are not only helping us but also helping the wider community and the planet.
